Designing an Accessible and Engaging Research Poster Presentation (Hybrid) In-Person / Online

This is a hybrid workshop where students can attend in person or online via Zoom.

Workshop Description: In this hands-on-workshop, you will learn (1) how to design a research poster that is engaging and accessible, (2) identify the key sections and information to include, (3) create clear and concise text and visuals, (4) present your poster confidently and effectively.

Presenter Bio: Lisa Campbell (she/her) is the Instruction and Outreach Librarian at Library West, the humanities and social sciences library at UF. In this position she strives to create inclusive library learning experiences that engage students and develop information and digital literacies. Her research interests include accessible user experience, inclusive student engagement, and critical digital pedagogy.

Location: The Library Instruction Lab is located on the 2nd floor of Library West, which is located on the north end of the Plaza of the Americas. The 2nd floor can be accessed via the front escalators or elevator. The Library Instruction Lab can be found to the left of the User Services desk.

Accessibility: AI generated captions will be enabled and there is an wheelchair accessible workstation in the instruction lab. If you need accommodations to participate, please email lisacampbell@uflib.ufl.edu, at least 72 hours (about 3 days) before the event.
