Introduction to Omeka Classic: Building a Digital Collection In-Person / Online
This is a hybrid workshop where learners can attend in person or online via Zoom.
Workshop Description: This workshop introduces the current version of Omeka Classic, an open-source and freely available platform for digital libraries, archives, and exhibits. It will cover how to create records for individual items, edit text with HTML, and group item records into collections. Working with the basics of Omeka Classic does require knowledge of the Dublin Core metadata standard and HTML, so these concepts will also be introduced in this workshop. No prior experience with library collection development is necessary, although experienced Omeka users are welcome to share their expertise during the workshop. By the end of this workshop, you will be able to start creating your own digital collection to showcase your research.
