This three-part training series, led by Ash Vaught (she/her) from Library West's Collections Services Unit, will equip you with the knowledge and skills to effectively manage print collections, projects, and the Google Books project at your branch using Alma and Analytics.

Who should attend:
This series is designed for library staff at all levels who work with print collections and are interested in leveraging Alma and Analytics for more efficient workflows.

Presenter:

Ash Vaught (she/her) leads the Collections Services Unit of Library West, responsible for all services and developments related to the physical collections housed at Library West, including print collections assessment, project and space management, and stacks maintenance. Ash has worked for the Smathers Libraries for over seven years.

Session 1 - Using Alma and Analytics at your Branch: Roles, Sets & Jobs

This session will provide a comprehensive overview of managing employee roles and utilizing Sets and Jobs within Alma.The session will cover:

  • Employee Roles - A brief review of how to request and manage employee roles within the Alma system.
  • Sets and Jobs. What these are, and creating & running sets and jobs:
  • Step-by-step instructions and demonstrations, including workflow Integration and practical examples of using sets and jobs to streamline tasks at your branch.
  • Information on Alma and the Google Books Project - Discover how sets and jobs can be specifically applied to this project.
