Conducting Library Research in the Humanities and Social Sciences (Hybrid) In-Person / Online
This is a hybrid workshop where participants can attend in person or online via Zoom.
Workshop Description: Searching for authoritative research, primary sources, or data sets centered on human behavior and/or cultural phenomena? Look no further than Library West! In this session you will learn how to access and some of the most critical databases for researching the humanities and social sciences. Open to staff, faculty, and students, this workshop will review searching for and evaluating library resources, both digital and physical (archival). Relevant for students of area studies, arts, anthropology, economics, history, geography, political science, sociology, philosophy, and more!
Presenters: Ginessa Mahar is the Anthropology Librarian and Hélène Huet is the European Studies Librarian and Associate Chair at Library West, the humanities and social sciences library at UF.
Location: The Library Instruction Lab is located on the 2nd floor of Library West, which is located on the north end of the Plaza of the Americas. The 2nd floor can be accessed via the front escalators or elevator. The Library Instruction Lab can be found to the left of the User Services desk.
