Deciding Where to Publish In-Person / Online

Explore library resources and advice to help you decide where to share your STEM research. Learn what to look for to identify trustworthy publishers and reach your target audience. How important are journal rankings, such as the Journal Impact Factor? What can you do to avoid predatory publishers? Understand the UF Author Rights Policy and requirements of federal funders for Public Access. Participants will gain insight into selecting appropriate journals to peer-review their work and share their knowledge. Deciding where to publish is an important aspect of contributing knowledge to your discipline and building your professional portfolio.
