Library Tips to Help International Students Succeed – Presentation In-Person

Starting your academic journey in a new country can be both exciting and overwhelming — but you don’t have to navigate it alone! Join us for an interactive orientation designed specifically for international students to explore the rich resources and services offered by the George A. Smathers Libraries at the University of Florida.

In this session, you'll learn:

  • How to access and borrow books, journals, and multimedia resources

  • Tips for using online databases and research tools

  • Where to find study spaces, computers, printing, and more

  • How to get help with research, citations, and academic writing

  • Cool technology and equipment you can borrow, including iPads, laptop and phone chargers, and more

  • Wellness spaces, including designated rooms for prayer, meditation, and relaxation

🎓 Whether you're an undergraduate or graduate student, this orientation will help you feel confident and empowered to make the most of the Smathers Libraries throughout your time at UF.

📍 Plus! Immediately following the presentation, join us for a guided tour of the Marston Science Library (MSL) — UF’s most visited library, featuring collaborative spaces and a fully equipped makerspace and 3D printing services.

Registration is required — please sign up to reserve your spot.
