Global Health Narratives: Storytelling at the Intersection of History, Art, Policy, and Health Online

This panel explores how narrative serves as a connective thread across diverse disciplines in global health. Bringing together perspectives from history, visual arts, and cultural anthropology, our speakers will discuss how storytelling informs research, practice, and community engagement in global health contexts.Speakers include Dr. Gautam Kalyatanda from the Division of Infectious Diseases & Global Medicine, Dr. Marit Ostebo from the Department of Anthropology, Sarah Hinds from UF Health Shands Arts in Medicine, and Dr. Steve Noll from the Department of History. Together, the panelists will reflect on how narrative bridges disciplines, deepens understanding, and enhances approaches to global health. Refreshments will be provided. This event is sponsored by the Center for the Humanities and the Public Sphere (Rothman Endowment) and co-sponsored by the Center for Arts in Medicine.

This event will take place in C1-004 in the Communicore Building. It will also be available on Zoom. Registration is recommended, but not required for attendance.
