Exploring Reproductive Health Through Comics: Graphic Medicine Micro Book Club Online
No need for prereading! This workshop is part of a series of mini book discussions using comics to explore topics in healthcare. We’ll read two comics together as a group, “Black Mothers Face Far Worse Health Outcomes. How Do We Fix It?” by Whit Taylor, and an excerpt from “Pregnant Butch: Nine Long Months Spent in Drag" by A.K. Summers. Each reading will be followed by a facilitated group discussion. Join us to learn about how comics can be used to discuss women’s health experiences!
