Introduction to Data Bias in Healthcare Research (Online) Zoom link: https://ufl.zoom.us/j/95736950368 In-Person
This workshop explores how data bias promotes health disparities that become embedded in scientific advances. Examples from data-driven healthcare research techniques such as, precision medicine, electronic health record mining, artificial intelligence, and machine learning are outlined. Tools and techniques to reduce data bias and best practices to promote data inclusivity, empathy and equity are introduced.
